• Yes, this is a common question. The fan needs to keep the charger cool 24/7. You can switch the charger off at night. Don’t forget to switch it back on in the morning...▲Top

 

• NO, your fridge can run 24/7 while your solar panel will only operate while the sun shines, therefore you need to replace enough power to keep your fridge going all the time. Normally two BP80 or two US64 (Uni-Solar)  solar panels will keep your fridge running nicely. ▲Top

• Yes, this is a Smart Battery Charger which you can 'Set and Forget' It will charge the battery and when fully charged, it will 'Float' charge the battery. We recommend installing a ‘Battery Protector’ which will stop the battery falling below 10.5volts if you have a power failure or other miss fortune with the power. - Note: A battery needs to be cycled...▲Top

 

•  A 20amp charger can only deliver 20amps. But the battery that is discharged the most will take the majority of the charge, until both banks are equal, then it will float charge both batteries.▲Top

•  Yes the Honda range of Generators are perfect for our chargers, although the 1kva would have to be on Full output most of the time to power the 30amp charger, how many batteries do your want to charge, maybe a smaller charger would suit you better, ie: 15amp or 20amp.. ▲Top

 

•  The fan in your Battery Charger will probably run all the time, it is controlled by the inner temperature of the charger, and is designed to help cool the unit. If you wish to stop the fan running overnight, the only option is to switch the charger off.  ▲Top

 

•  However, if the charger is in 'Bulk' mode for long periods, and the battery is becoming warm / hot, then it can be a faulty cell in the battery, and the battery will require changing.▲Top
